Review Film Sekawan Limo
Sekawan Limo is a comedy drama film directed by Bayu Skak, a young filmmaker known for his fresh and local style. The movie tells the story of the friendship of five teenagers named Bagas, Lenni, Juna, Dicky and Andrew who face various life challenges in a small village in East Java. The movie takes the audience on an emotional journey filled with laughter, emotion and inspiration. The genre can be categorized as a comedy drama with elements of local life.
Sekawan Limo's story centers on five friends who have different backgrounds and dreams. They unite to achieve a common goal while facing various conflicts, ranging from family problems, love, to friendship itself. The flow of the movie flows quite well, although some parts feel slow.
Personally, I felt that the film succeeded in presenting an authentic local atmosphere, especially through the natural Javanese dialog. However, there was a little difficulty in following the storyline at the beginning because the introduction of the characters felt a little protracted. However, once the conflict starts to build, the movie is able to bind the audience's emotions.
The characters in “Sekawan Limo” are one of the main strengths of the movie. The five main characters have unique personalities and good character development. Despite the many positives, “Sekawan Limo” is not free from flaws, there are some scenes that feel clichéd and less fresh than Bayu Skak's previous works.
Finally, the conclusion that can be drawn from Sekawana Limo is that the movie is entertaining and has strong moral messages, especially about friendship and life struggles. With a thick local cultural background and solid acting from the cast, this movie is able to provide a memorable viewing experience despite some minor flaws. This movie is a great choice and I give it an 8/10.
